HD 9221 is a portable instrument with very compact dimensions. Its high technological content is accompanied by a pleasant design. The measuring instrument and a series of interchangeable probes make the unit indispensable for detecting and measuring in lighting systems both in the open and inside buildings and laboratories, for preventing accidents, in flower growing, etc. The spectral response is corrected, by means of a filter, according to the human eye and the CIE curve, while an opaline diffuser corrects the response according to the cosine law. The probes have an internal code; when they are inserted the instrument recognizes them and prepares to take the reading with the respective scale factor.The LCD display with 3½ digits and a series of indications make the instrument very simple to use, even by unskilled personnel.
