A microprocessor has been inserted in the HD 8704 to create an intelligent, precise and reliable intruments to obtain functions surch as "Auto Power Off", "Autorange", relative measurement, "REL", MAX/MIN recording, "REC" "HOLD" measure, acoustic signal (BEEP) after pressing a key, low battery signal (BEEP) every 30 seconds.
